Guess who passed all her tests today? I did! Which I guess isn’t that big of an accomplishment considering I used a text book on, like, two of them out of four. My teacher said I could, though, as long as I tried to complete the short answers that I usually skip. She also said I am super close to graduating. A few weeks at the most unless I try my hardest to drag it out, which is such a me thing to do. I’m not really ready to leave my high school and she knows that.
Also, I haven’t been using my camera very much lately. I am usually all cramped in my house where nothing is new and has already been photographed in the past; so there is nothing for me to take pictures of. My mom and I were talking about maybe going on a walk if it stops raining within the next couple of days. That way I will have a whole new world (pun possibly intended) to capture. Let’s hope that works out, because I really need to get out of my house.
I’ve also been trying to write and brainstorm and develop characters for a new story idea I have been thinking about for a while. All of my attempts at any of the above always fail. In all honesty, that’s what I am supposed to be doing right now instead of writing this blog. Which reminds me: I never restarted this blog like I was planning on doing. Hum, maybe that is another project that will keep me in procrastinating mode.
I would so do that tonight but I am actually a little tired (thank lord). I didn’t sleep well last night and didn’t take a nap today so I am pretty much ready for bed. I am totally sleeping downstairs tonight too–for no particular reason, really. I guess sometimes you just want to do something without having true justification as to why you want to do it. Story of my life, right?
A few days ago I started to write a blog post but was cut short because my computer was attacked by viruses and shut itself down. A defense tactic, I am told. Anyway, I thought the blog post was lost until just now when I realized there is a draft. So, because it was actually a real talking blog, this is some of what I was going to post:
It’s has been a month since I have written anything. If this were real life I would fall into the “bad friend” category. If I’m not already there, that is.
For the most part nothing has been going on. I’ve pretty much been caught up with school, writing, and just general life. Not exactly in that order though. Because it is true that I am a huge procrastinator and put my best procrastinating foot forward when it comes to just about anything in my life. I should probably try to fix that.
A couple weeks ago my teacher, Lori, presented to me a “Diploma Contract” which basically asked me if I was going to walk in the June ceremony or not. Well, shit. I wanted to say no, I really did… but my family probably would have killed me. So I put it off for a week (so, Lisa to do) and then marked “yes” this past Tuesday–gritting my teeth the whole time. Lori knows I don’t want to physically walk, but, like my family, she is urging me to go ahead with it. *sigh* we’ll see.
Besides that, tomorrow is Valentine’s Day which I am not very excited about. But for Valentine’s I dyed my sisters Tapioca (ew, gross) green. It was pretty funny.
She pretty much freaked out and threw it in the trash. She didn’t get that I was the one who dyed it until ten minutes later when I went and showed her the food coloring I used. She is so slow sometimes.
Anyway, besides that pretty much nothing has been going on.
Just so you guys know, I discussed it with Steve and a couple other people… and I think I am going to totally start over my blog. Which basically just means I am going to delete all my old posts and start with new ones and maybe change my blog theme. I just don’t want you guys to freak out on me if this ends up happening. Actually, it will most likely happen tonight when I get bored of homework again, so you guys won’t even see this. Awesome. Looks like you’ll be freaking out on me. Mmhmm. <3
January 11th. It is one week from today.
I was sitting here thinking about basketball.
Hm, I really want to see the Warriors and the Cavaliers play each other. I think I would have a lot of fun with that. I doubt it, but I wonder if they will be playing each other in Oakland any time soon. I’ll go check.
So, as you can guess, I went and looked at the schedule. They are playing each other on the 11th. “Big deal, Lisa. It’s just a game, what does it matter what day they are playing?”
Let me tell you a couple of facts:
- Fact #1: I might be going to see the Warriors play on the 13th of January.
- Fact #2: January 11th just so happens to be my birthday.
Unfortunate timing but people are telling me there is always next year. True that, true that. I just think God is playing tricks on me. Happens a lot.
P.S. 50 points to the person who can guess why I titled this blog post what I did.
Alright, as you all probably see, there is a “ask me a question” box in the sidebar that I tend to like a lot. I have yelled at the people about stuff to show answers but they weren’t very helpful, so I decided I should dedicate a post to a few of the answers. If ever you want more just go HERE. And be sure to ask me something because I have fun with this. Awesome.
have you ever seen snow
I HAVE seen snow. About two whole times in my life. The second time we were in Tahoe during a blizzard so that was fun. I also got hit in the face with a snowball. That wasn’t so fun but at least it was fresh and not as condensed as it could have been.
are you afraid of birds
Not unless they are going all THE BIRDS and trying to maul my face off. It’s starting to seem so clique to be afraid of birds.
If you had your own talk show, who would your first three guests be?
Bob Dylan… I’m not very good at this type of shit. Um, I’ll just throw names out there. Bob Dylan. My husband(MS). Sarah Dessen, probably. Wait, I want to meet the Paranormal State people too. And… (I’m about to go totally clique) Robert Pattinson. It would be cool to meet Woody Guthrie also.
What was your favorite movie as a child?
Oh, jesus. A lot. Pocahontas was always a favorite.
What’s your favorite genre of music?
This isn’t really a relevent question for me. I like so many different kinds of music it isn’t funny. I do have to admit though, most of the music I like or am passionate about is from a different time period. That’s probably because music was way better in the past. *shrugs*
If you had access to a time machine, where and when would be the first place you travel to?
Oh man. 60s to meet Dylan and other people.
Hello, blog world!
Do you guys realize how long it has been since I posted something besides a survey? You know what, don’t answer that. It has been a while. Let’s just leave it at that.
So I am pretty excited right now. As in: I am bursting. No, not because Christmas is tomorrow. In all actuality, I could care less about Christmas. Which I guess is sort of sad on one hand, useful on the other.
I am happy because I finally got Robin Hood on Netflix. And its Disney’s cartoon Robin Hood, not one of the human versions. Big deal, right? Yes! I fucking love Robin Hood! I’ve had it on VHS for so long but now I can have it on DVD… with Fast Play so I can watch it over and over and over like I do. It’s so amazing. I love Fast Play. Ooo-de-lally, Ooo-de-lally, golly what a day!
For having not very much sleep I am oddly awake. I fell asleep sometime between two and three and woke up at, like, seven. So I got up and cleaned the kitchen floor for no reason at all. Now I’m making food and waiting for my mom to get home from breakfast so we can start baking cookies for Nana’s house tomorrow. Oh, and for Santa, according to Mom.
Anyway, Happy Christmas and don’t get drunk and die.
Ask me questions because it’s fun. And I don’t have the time to do a survey. Awesome, go.
